Day Trip to The Grampians.

Hello readers!

I'm aware that not many humans would read blogs recently; except if you're as influential as Xiaxue. But I'm quite inspired to update this space lately, probably because I enjoy reading my friends' blog : Adeline's & Doreen's. So my 2015 New Year Resolution would be... 33 blog posts in 2015 *Fighting!*

Also, I hope you're loving my brand new blog template because I designed it by myself ٩(͡๏̮͡๏)۶
Slept around 6 am for a couple of days for this! But I kept it simple this time, so it's not as tedious as the previous one. Please tell me you love it heheh.

As the title suggests, this post would be about my recent trip to Grampian.

I MUST SAY : GRAMPIAN IS WAY WAY TOO UNDERRATED,
which justifies the need to blog about it. Believe it or not most people only heard of Great Ocean Road *sulks*

So.. to those who plan to visit Melbourne in time to come, especially youngsters,
I would strongly strongly recommend this place.

Moreover, The Grampians is located nearby Great Ocean Road so it's definitely worth the time.
For more information, please read on.

- The entrance is... FREE for a 1 day trip. All you need to pay probably is just the car rental & petrol. Even if you want to camp, it would only cost a little. SUPER WORTH IT MAN.

- If you have more time & money, feel free to take a 1 night stay at The Grampians.
First, because it's very dangerous to drive at night (Wild kangaroos running around & no street lights).
Second, you can have more time to drive further up or down to explore more attractions! :D

- The scenery is as beautiful as New Zealand, no kidding.
The whole panaroma is so breathtaking that I felt like it was so... unreal that I couldn't believe my eyes.

- There is so much so much to discover and see in Grampian National Park. No you don't go there to see one mountain and go back home. Instead, the Grampians have plenty of attractions, and different hiking tracks (easy or difficult) which you can choose from.

- And did I mention that it's not crowded at all like those typical tourist attractions? Having that said, it's pretty easy to capture beautiful photos with silly poses like nobody's business ;D

These are the places / main attractions we managed to reach in one day :
And for me, it's more than enough already! I was so so so happy with everything! Too.easy.to.please.

 #1 Boroka Lookout

Concluding all of the lookouts that I have been to, I personally love Boroka the most ! Mainly because I have something for small lake located in between mountains. I find it superbly amazing!

And before I proceed, allow me to warn you that youngsters like us are adventurous, so...
we actually climbed over the fence for almost... every... lookout

This pretty much explains it. BUT people, it's indeed dangerous and we were very cautious at all times!
So please don't be like us AHAHA because life is precious. *slaps self*

That's me. Looking cool and fabulous over the edge *flips hair* *thicked face*.

But behind the scenes I was like a coward holding on to everything I can LOL,  I don't want to die :x

And THIS! is the overall view that you would be able to see. *jaw drops*

 #2 Reed Lookout

Moving on to the next lookout, which was about 15-20 minutes drive.
There's a huge rock here where you can just stand on top & feel like you're on top of the world! (refer to 1st picture of this blog post). And it's just RIGHT at the car park, plus most importantly, it's very safe.
No climbing required heh!

I guess they also have the "top of the world" feeling ahaha!

Probably the best photo of the day! All of us love this jump shot :D

But behind the scenes both of them hurt themselves due to the uneven rock surface.
Haha things people would do to get an awesome picture. Kids nowadays tsk tsk.

Cannot exclude our picture even though our poses weren't as nice as theirs lalala.

Continuing to the other side of Reed Lookout, which also means the
awesome view after climbing over the fence illegally (but it's alot safer compared to Boroka's)

Obviously we took turns to take pictures for each other, so yes imagine us running around to and fro ahaha! But I guarantee you all your hard work pays off the moment you sit / stand at the rock.
Because you'll definitely be amazed; like WOW!

And to make things better, we enjoy the view & pose at the same time ahaha :D
Typical Asians.
✌˚◡˚✌

 #3 The Balconies

a.k.a Jaws of Death is like an "extension" from Reed Lookout, which requires 1 km walking distance. And unfit people like us almost died even though it's such an easy walk HAHA.
Especially when it's under the scorching hot sun.

Saw plenty of these, just like the ones in Korea whereby people pile up stones & make a wish!

Our super exhausted look upon arrival.

Then I was like, we walked this far just to see this mouth-shaped stone ahhhh?! HAHAHA.

Simply because I thought there would be a better view after a long walk heh ;D

On the other hand...

These two disobedient creatures just... climbed over like nobody's business. Seriously HAHA.

Off they went but Yelin & I were like : BE CAREFULLL DON'T FALLLLL. HAHAHA.

Deng deng deng deng!

Cool kids standing at the Jaws of Death. We took this by ourselves !
All thanks to Sony Nex's technology gee :D

 #4 Mackenzie Falls

I heard this is the nicest & biggest watefall in Victoria! This was our last lookout for the day due to time limitation. It requires 2 km of moderately difficult walk since the trail is pretty steep.
But you will get to see parts of the falls soon on the way so it's not as tiring, until....
the time when you have to climb all the way up when you return T_____T

No I'm not pissed at all. Just pure acting but failed :P

On our way!

TADAAAAAAAAAAAAA!  ISN'T. IT. MAGNIFICENT!

Girls being girls. Selfie with the falls is a must! ;D

And as usual, they went all the way there to take a picture like this :

But according to them it's super slippery so those who want to give it a go do bring extra clothings :O

So we spent quite some time there chilling at the base ; and like the other waterfalls, the water is refreshing too!
And it's also because.. all of us were so so reluctant to climb up on our way back.

Rainbow spotted! Kindly keep your eyes off two hot half-naked humans HAHA. LOVE IT.
The rainbow, I mean.

And then we went to  Halls Gap  to grab our dinner. Saw heaps of kangaroos over there as well.
Hi little baby kangaroo!

Drove by  Lake Bellfield  at last. It scares me when the day turns dark since we ought to drive all the way home. But all thanks to our awesome driver of the day, Jasper Yong Jia so we are all safe and sound !
Also, we managed to see sky full of stars, it was a really unexpected but spectacular one.
All in all, everything is awesome & hence, I'm super grateful !╚(•ε•)╝

Like what I said, Grampian National Park is so huge that it is impossible finish all of the sites in one day. I really wished to stay longer though :( We drove all the way to Mount William but unfortunately the trail is closed at night (╥╥)

Other attractions include :
  • Mount William Summit
  • The Pinnacle
  • Grand Canyon Loop
  • Venus Baths Loop
  • Hollow Mountain
That is why I seriously don't mind going to The Grampians again. Till then,x .

HEHEHE GUESS WHO WENT THERE WITH US.
Okay don't judge. I love my bears. BYE.

That's all for now ! Obviously feeling a little depressed lately because I'm leaving Melbourne in 2 weeks time.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
All I can do is to cherish the remaining days I have.
I will be back some day :)
